The impressions are done at one of our host stores, homes or by appointment in our home studio and take only a few minutes. Before prints are made, we recommend toys, treats, full tummies, and plenty of rest. The non-toxic clay is rolled and cut according to the size of your child's hand or foot and the shape you have chosen. We then gently press the hand and/or foot into the soft clay, making a lasting imprint of your child. There is no age requirement.
The plaques are then taken back to our studio, where the rest of the work is done. Each plaque is carefully painted, glazed and kiln-fired, so your keepsake is both beautiful and durable. Decorative embellishments are added, a matching sating ribbon is attached and your child's name and age is inscribed on the plaque so that you can display and cherish your keepsake forever. The completed plaques are delivered back to the original location where prints were made in 3-4 weeks. We will call you when your order is ready for pick-up. If you wish, we can ship your order directly to your home (shipping charges apply).
Please refer to our calendar for show dates and to find a host store near you, and let us know if you have a particular store, event or location you would like to see us at! No appointment is necessary for store dates. However, if you are interested in having a print done other than at a host store, personal appointments can be made at almost any time. We are also available for fundraisers and group printings. Group printings receive a discounted rate!
Our unique creations make wonderful gifts for birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father's Day, Grandparents Day, Christmas and Hanukkah. Gift certificates are available, and make wonderful gifts for the expectant mother, or welcome home gift to the new baby.
